Terms and Conditions

1. Services Provided

Courtroom Clarity Services provides transcript proofreading services for court reporters and related professionals. Proofreading includes identifying typographical, grammatical, and formatting errors while preserving the integrity of the original transcript.

2. Turnaround Time

Deadlines are confirmed upon receipt of each transcript. Rush and same-day services are available as requested. Weekend and holiday work is accepted at no additional charge unless otherwise specified.

3. Rates and Payment

Current rates are published on the official rates sheet. Invoices are issued upon completion of each job and are due within the agreed-upon payment period (typically Net 7 days). Accepted payment methods include PayPal and Venmo.

4. Confidentiality

All materials submitted to Courtroom Clarity Services are treated as strictly confidential. No information, names, or content will be shared, distributed, or discussed outside of the proofreading process.

5. Revisions

Minor revisions related to the original proofreading are included at no extra charge if requested within seven (7) days of delivery. Additional changes outside of the original scope may be subject to an additional fee.

6. Liability

While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, Courtroom Clarity Services cannot guarantee a completely error-free document. Liability is limited to the total amount paid for the specific job in question.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate an ongoing project with written notice. The client is responsible for payment for all work completed up to the date of termination.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Courtroom Clarity Services operates. 


Common items in a terms and conditions agreement allow you to:

  • Withdraw and cancel services, and make financial transactions.
  • Manage customer expectations, such as liability for information errors or website downtime.
  • Explain your copyright rules, such as attribution, adaptation, commercial or non-commercial use, etc.
  • Set rules for user behavior, like forbidding unlawful behavior, hate speech, bullying, promotions, spam, etc.
  • Disable user accounts.
  • Write down any other terms or conditions that protect you or your audience.
